Thank you.  This simple little phrase is one that we are all taught from our earliest years.  We are told to say it when someone gives us something.  We are told to say it when someone pays us a compliment.  We are told to say it to someone who holds the door open for us.

It is a phrase that most of us use every single day.  For some of us, we use it so often that it really has no meaning to us.  It is just a crutch phrase that we use to be polite.  However, it has little or no meaning to us.
